Private Family in Rye, NY Seeking a Full-Time Family Assistant/Nanny

Position:Full-Time Live-Out Family Assistant/Nanny
Schedule:Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–8/8:30 PM (guaranteed 35 hours/week, with occasional weekend/date night coverage)
Salary:$30/hour (guaranteed 35 hours/week; additional hours may be added as needed)
Start Date:Mid-Late August
Children:Four boys, ages 9, 12, 13, and 15

About the Family

A warm and welcoming private family located in Rye, NY is looking to hire a dedicated and professional Family Assistant to join their busy household. They value reliability, flexibility, initiative, and a warm personality who will be a long-term fit with their family’s lifestyle.

Children:Four boys, ages 9, 12, 13, and 15
Pets:One puppy coming soon! (schnoodle)
Household Staff:Weekly cleaner (deep cleaning)

Responsibilities

• Drive children to and from school, activities, and appointments (must have own car; gas reimbursement provided)

• Help with homework and reading with the youngest 9 yo boy,

• Light-medium housekeeping: keep kitchen, family room, and common areas tidy; vacuum, wipe counters, organize, etc.

• Family laundry, including delicates

• Weekly grocery shopping and running errands

• Meal prep and preparing some simple family dinners

• Dog walking and care

• Assist with household organization and other tasks as needed

• Flexibility to cover occasional date nights, weekends, and mornings preferred!

Ideal Candidate & Personality

The ideal candidate is warm, engaging, and proactive. They should be playful and fun with the boys. Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and flexibility are essential in this busy household. The family is looking for someone who is seeking a long-term role (3-4 years) and will become a trusted and valued member of the household.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a similar role in a private household with school-aged children

• Excellent references

• Driver’s license and clean driving record (own car required)

• Comfortable with pets
