Job Title: Child Advocacy Center Assistant DirectorThe CAC Assistant Director will provide a child-centered, coordinated and comprehensive multi-disciplinary team (MDT) approach to the investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases. The Assistant Director will facilitate quarterly MDT Leadership Advisory meetings, prepare and distribute the agendas, maintain relationships with regular communication between the CAC, multidisciplinary and community partners and further implement policies and procedures to benefit the equality of services as deemed necessary by the center staff and the MDT. The Assistant Director will conduct developmentally and age-appropriate interviews of children who are alleged victims of sexual and/or physical abuse or have witnessed violent crimes, as requested by law enforcement, child protective services, or the prosecuting attorney. The work is performed under the supervision of the CAC Director. Does related work as required.Work Hours: 35 Full Time, hours per week with benefitsSalary: $51,274-$68,246/year (Management Compensation Plan)Location: Cortland County Child Advocacy CenterStatus: Competitive, ProvisionalBenefits: New York State Retirement System, Low Deductible Health Insurance Plan, Generous Paid Time Off including 13 Paid Holidays, Tuition Assistance available, Position is eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Either:(a)Possession of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in human services, criminal justice or a closely related field and one (1) years of work experience conducting forensic interviews of children; OR(b)Possession of an Associate’s degree or higher in human services, criminal justice or a closely related field and three (3) years of work experience conducting interviews of children; OR(c) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and five (5) years of work experience conducting interviews of children; OR(d)An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (a) (b) and (c) above.Law Enforcement, Advocacy, or Mental Health experience preferred.
