Program Manager – Consumer & Category Insights Compensation

The pay for this position is up to $126.54 per hour (max supplier bill rate)
Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
A 401(k) with company match is available for full-time employees after 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Program Manager – Consumer & Category Insights Highlights

Program Manager – Consumer & Category Insights Responsibilities

• Partner with Merchandising teams to address category and subcategory insights questions
• Mine secondary insights and AI research tools to support merchant-driven strategy decisions
• Develop and execute primary research using qualitative and quantitative methodologies
• Plan and manage research agendas in collaboration with business partners
• Translate research findings into clear, decision-ready insights for stakeholders
• Use storytelling techniques to communicate customer insights and influence strategy
• Serve as a subject matter expert in consumer research and category strategy
• Build and manage category-specific agent banks within Simile
• Analyze insights using tools including Simile, Mintel, and Kantar
• Support evaluation of store brand performance relative to competitors
• Enable scalable category insights through structured research methodologies
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, collaborators, and vendor partners

Program Manager – Consumer & Category Insights Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum 7+ years of qualitative and quantitative consumer research experience
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Experience planning and executing research programs aligned with business goals
• Ability to synthesize insights across multiple data sources
• Strong communication and storytelling capabilities
• Ability to independently manage research programs
• Reliable home internet connection required
• Quiet, professional remote work environment required
• High School Diploma or GED required

Program Manager – Consumer & Category Insights Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Retail or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)
• Experience working with research vendors or market research agencies
• Experience supporting category strategy initiatives
• Familiarity with methodologies such as focus groups, shop-alongs, ethnographies, MaxDiff, Turf, and Monadic testing
• Experience working across complex, cross-functional organizations
• Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills
