Position Summary

The Bar Blondeau Server is responsible for delivering a refined yet approachable dining experience that reflects the energy, sophistication, and hospitality of Wythe Hotel’s rooftop destination. This role goes beyond taking orders and serving food—it is about creating memorable guest experiences through genuine connection, thoughtful service, and a deep understanding of the restaurant’s food, beverage, and hospitality standards. Servers act as ambassadors of the Bar Blondeau brand, guiding guests through the menu, anticipating needs, and ensuring every interaction feels seamless and personalized. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, confidence in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, and a passion for hospitality. By balancing technical service excellence with warmth and authenticity, the Server plays a vital role in building guest loyalty, enhancing the restaurant’s reputation, and contributing to the overall success of the operation.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, personable, and efficient service throughout the guest experience
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food, wine, and cocktail menus, including daily specials
• Accurately take and enter orders, ensuring timely delivery of all items
• Anticipate guest needs and maintain a consistent table presence without being intrusive
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service stations, and dining areas
• Communicate effectively with bartenders, kitchen staff, and support team members
• Handle guest feedback with professionalism and urgency
• Process payments accurately and responsibly
• Uphold all health, safety, and service standards

Requirements and Skills

• 1+ year as NYC restaurant server or equivalent experience
• Fine-dining experience highly regarded
• Ability to study and memorize menu details to include cooking technique, allergens and drop-lines
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for up to 8 plus hours
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs
