SENIOR DESIGNER

Location: NYC, Battery Park, onsite 40 hours a week

Job Type: 6 month contract with potential for extension

Compensation: $60-65/hr W2


Our client is a leading global investment firm looking for a Senior Designer to join its growing in-house creative team. Under the direction of the Design Director, this candidate will own the creation and evolution of various brand-aligned touchpoints from concept to execution. This includes a mixed range of marketing and integrated materials, in-person experiences, and visual communications.



Responsibilities:

• Build upon brand guidelines to design and produce consistent brand-aligned materials across all touchpoints.
• Collaborate with global design team to deliver high-quality materials in a timely manner.
• Bring fresh and creative ideas to communicate content effectively.
• Feel comfortable working in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects.
• Be a brand ambassador and provide governance as needed.
• Support the execution of firmwide marketing touchpoints that support business priorities as well as client acquisition/retention strategies.
• Develop day-to-day creative solutions across all mediums: Marketing collateral; Digital assets; Environmental design; Presentations; Invitations; Ads; etc.
• Be an active member of a collaborative and creative work environment, encouraging innovation and a results-driven mindset.
• Manage time efficiently and communicate effectively.
• Proactively provide quality assurance across every project.

Qualifications:

• A design degree with 10+ years of professional experience within a corporate environment.
• Financial industry work experience.
• Expertise in creating concepts, designs, and specifications for platforms including print, web, email, social, and environments.
• Working and collaborating with executives and presenting design ideas effectively.
• Deep knowledge of current design trends and best practices with a focus on usability and the customer.
• Excellent time management skills with a strong and professional work ethic.
• Detail oriented, self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects, etc.)
• Proficient in Figma.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to proofread and review work for accuracy and consistency.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing at all levels of the organization.
• Experience with cross-functional teams and working within complex, global organizations.
• Intellectually curious and willing to learn about businesses across a variety of industries.
• Agile and adaptable to changing business environments and evolving market dynamics.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
