Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Postpartum / Mother-Baby

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Duration: 14 Weeks

Shift: 8:30 AM – 8:00 PM (11.5-Hour Day Shifts)

Schedule: 3 Days per Week | Alternating Weekends

Compensation: $2,794 per Week (Travel Rate)

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a 14-week assignment in a high-volume Postpartum / Mother-Baby unit in Brooklyn, NY. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced maternal care setting, delivering exceptional care to mothers and their newborns during the critical postpartum period.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to postpartum mother-baby couplets

• Perform detailed maternal and newborn assessments

• Monitor maternal recovery and newborn transition

• Initiate and manage IV therapy and perform phlebotomy

• Administer and monitor conscious sedation when indicated

• Support and educate families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and discharge planning

• Collaborate closely with obstetricians, pediatricians, and interdisciplinary teams

• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with facility standards and regulatory guidelines

Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum of 2+ years of recent Maternal-Child Health or Postpartum nursing experience

• Strong proficiency in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation

Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program

Licensure & Certifications:

• Active New York Registered Nurse License (NYSED verification required)

• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification

• AHA ACLS Certification

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
