For over 35 years, our team of skilled tradesmen have utilized industry-leading innovations in design, superior craftsmanship, and customization to construct modular homes in our climate-controlled state of the art factory located in Wingdale, NY near the Connecticut border. Building efficiently in a weather protected environment, with on?time delivery, and cost control, is the essence of modular construction and has made systems?built housing one of the fastest growing segments in the housing industry.
We are pursuing a full-time Architectural Draftsperson who is passionate, adaptable, and motivated to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have practice using AutoCAD and knowledge of wood-frame construction standards. Responsibilities

»Responsible for interpreting sales orders to draft plans according to supplied specifications

»Design drawings using AutoCAD to produce floor plans, elevations, and cross-sections through mechanical and final drawings

»Proficient in visualizing a project through the production process

»Communicate and collaborate with sales and production teams to ensure accuracy and quality

»Troubleshoot any foreseen complications ahead of production

»Maintain, track, and plan tasks according to the production schedule to meet weekly goals

Minimum Requirements

»Highly proficient in AutoCAD 2D drafting; practice with MS Office

» 2- or 4-year degree, OR equivalent practice required

»Solid knowledge of drafting techniques and construction terminology

»Technical detailing knowledge of construction methods and construction documents

» practice in wood-frame construction and related code requirements preferred

»US work authorization

Type of employment: Full Time (Monday to Friday 8-hour shift), with additional hours needed (3-5hrs/wk)
