Sales Manager
We're hiring a Sales Manager to lead cannabis dispensary account acquisition across the New York metro area. This is a high-ownership, high-upside role for someone who already has the relationships, the territory knowledge, and the appetite to build something category-defining from the ground up.
You'll be the face of Gudtrip in NYC - building our retail footprint, closing key accounts, and laying the foundation for our East Coast expansion.
What You'll Do
- Open and close new cannabis dispensary accounts across NYC and the broader NY metro area
- Build and manage long-term relationships with retail buyers, store owners, and key decision-makers
- Own your territory end-to-end - from prospecting and pipeline management to closing, onboarding, and account growth
- Coordinate with marketing on co-branded campaigns, in-store display materials, and product samples
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to inform product, pricing, and promotional strategy
- Represent Gudtrip at industry events, trade shows, and dispensary launches across the region
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Existing sales experience in the NYC cannabis market with established cannabis brands (1 year minimum, non-negotiable)
- A strong, current book of dispensary contacts across the NY metro area
- Demonstrated track record of opening new accounts and consistently hitting or exceeding quota
- Self-starter mentality - comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-moving startup environment
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to be in-market: dispensary visits, events, and on-the-ground hustle are core to the role
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience at an early-stage startup or hardware/tech-forward cannabis brand
- Existing relationships with NY-licensed dispensaries
- Interest in Bitcoin, blockchain, or consumer tech
Compensation & Benefits
- Top 10% base salary for the category
- Uncapped commission - earnings scale directly with performance
