Responsibilities
- Deliver professional respiratory care to neonatal through adult patients per physician orders and unit protocols
- Operate and monitor ventilators (Puritan Bennett 980 & 840, LTV1200) and associated airway equipment
- Perform ABG collection, interpretation, and therapy adjustments; respond to ventilator alarms; optimize oxygen delivery
- Monitor patient status, document care in the electronic medical record (EPIC), and communicate findings to the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals; participate in rounds as needed
- Provide patient and family education about therapies, devices, and transport safety
- Provide coverage across units as assigned, including nursery and emergency department support when required

Requirements
- NY Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in good standing at time of assignment
- NBRC verification of RRT credential
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience; neonatal/pediatric exposure preferred
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
- Eligible for employment in a hospital setting with ability to float to multiple units; willingness to work 12-hour night shifts and rotate as needed
- Reliable transportation and ability to comply with facility dress and safety policies
