Job Description Summary

The Strategic Sourcing Leader shall be responsible for directing and implementing pivotal strategic initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness and continuous improvement across core business KPIs that span $2B in volume and 20k transactional lines per year. This position entails acting as a leading authority for Configured Systems commodity overseeing the global supplier capacity processes and crafting and maintaining strategic Commodity Management frameworks. Strategic Sourcing Leader will be responsible for overall coordination of operational sourcing execution initiatives and processes for MSD BOP and HRSG sourcing spend (Configured Systems commodity)

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead and drive critical strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency (supplier capacity tariffs impacts strategic cash management) while ensuring alignment with and continuous improvement of key business KPIs (EAC Deflation Vendor recovery).

• Manage Configured Systems bowler and related reviews; running daily management and leader standard work for key KPIs across safety quality delivery cost and culture; and partnering with team leaders across Projects Sourcing and Configured Systems sourcing teams.
  • Serve as best practice/quality resource in support of Commodity Management and HDNU Projects organizations.
  • Directly support 50 person commodity responsible for executing 20k transaction lines totaling over $2B in annual volume across MSD BOP and HRSG scope of supply.
  • Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the global supplier capacity audit process to de-risk short- mid- and long-term business concerns
  • Be instrumental in defining / designing and maintaining the Commodity Management MOR and Strategic planning models including necessary improvements and required business shifts
  • Focal point to translate and cascade tariff impacts that play a role in supplier selection and development to commodity team
  • Skilled influencer able to simplify and communicate complex messages to others. Acts as a resource for colleagues to promote internal growth. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
  • Uses lean processes to make decisions and solve complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university

Substantive experience of 7 years in any of Sourcing Commercial Operations / Sales Supply Chain / Manufacturing / Operations or Project Management (prior Sourcing experience highly recommended)

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position the pay range for this position is between $125000.00 and $208300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
