Role Summary:

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Marketing & Growth Officer (CMGO) will lead Rowan’s full-funnel growth strategy across acquisition, retention, customer loyalty, customer insights, and brand. This executive will oversee all marketing functions with a mandate to drive profitable growth, strengthen brand awareness, deepen customer engagement, and maximize customer lifetime value.

The ideal Chief Marketing & Growth Officer candidate is both highly strategic and deeply hands-on — equally comfortable building long-term brand equity and diving into acquisition performance, customer segmentation, loyalty strategy, and marketing analytics. The Chief Marketing & Growth Officer will partner closely with Retail, Finance, Product, and Operations teams to scale Rowan into a nationally recognized consumer brand.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Growth & Revenue Leadership

  • Own Rowan’s customer growth strategy across acquisition, retention, loyalty, and lifecycle marketing
  • Drive revenue growth through integrated marketing initiatives across retail and digital channels
  • Lead forecasting, budget planning, marketing ROI analysis, and performance optimization
  • Develop customer engagement strategies to maximize conversion and LTV
  • Own marketing calendar and oversee campaign execution
  • Build a rigorous test-and-learn culture focused on scalable and profitable growth

Brand & Customer Engagement

  • Lead Rowan’s overall brand strategy and positioning across all channels
  • Ensure consistent and compelling storytelling across retail, digital, PR, influencer, and experiential touchpoints
  • Drive top-of-funnel brand awareness initiatives aligned to company growth goals
  • Oversee customer loyalty, referral, and retention strategies designed to deepen engagement and increase repeat behavior
  • Partner cross-functionally to continuously elevate the customer journey and brand experience

Acquisition, Loyalty & Customer Data

  • Lead all acquisition channels including paid media, SEO, influencer marketing, email, partnerships, local marketing, and CRM
  • Own customer segmentation, lifecycle marketing, loyalty strategy, and retention analytics
  • Develop and continuously monitor KPIs including CAC, ROAS, retention, repeat rate, customer engagement, and LTV
  • Leverage customer insights and data analytics to inform strategic decision-making and personalization efforts
  • Evaluate emerging tools, platforms, and technologies to improve marketing effectiveness and customer understanding

Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing and growth organization
  • Partner closely with Retail, Operations, Finance, and Product teams
  • Establish scalable processes, organizational structure, and accountability across the marketing function
  • Negotiate and manage agency, platform, and vendor relationships

Experience We’re Looking For:

  • Proven success leading both brand and performance marketing functions
  • Strong understanding of customer acquisition, retention, lifecycle marketing, loyalty strategy, and customer segmentation
  • Deep experience leveraging customer data and analytics to drive growth and personalization
  • Experience scaling national 4-wall retail / healthcare / service companies with hundreds of units
  • Highly analytical and financially driven mindset with deep understanding of unit economics and marketing efficiency
  • Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on in execution
