Machine Operator

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our production team in Brooklyn. This is an entry-level position, but we are looking for candidates who have a foundational understanding of machinery and a "safety-first" mindset. You will be responsible for the setup, operation, and basic maintenance of production equipment to ensure we meet our daily output goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up, start, and monitor machinery to ensure smooth production runs.

• Quality Control: Perform regular inspections of finished products to ensure they meet company specifications and quality standards.

• Troubleshooting: Identify and report any mechanical issues or inconsistencies in the production process.

• Maintenance: Perform basic cleaning and preventative maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of production numbers, material usage, and any incidents.

• Safety: Adhere to all OSHA and company safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

Requirements & Physical Demands

• Experience: Previous experience operating industrial machinery is required .

• Preferred Skills: Experience with Flexographic, printing, lamination, or packing machines is highly encouraged and will be prioritized.

• Physical Stamina: Must be able to stand and move for the full 8-hour shift.

• Lifting: Must be able to comfortably lift and carry up to 50 lbs .

• Reliability: Consistent attendance for the 3 PM – 11 PM shift is essential.

• Flexibility: Ability to work occasional overtime based on production demands.

Skills Needed

• Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals or instructions.

• Basic math skills for measurements and production counting.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
