Job Summary
We are looking for an individual to join our client’s team as Administrative Assistant - Correctional Health Services. You will support coordination between management, clinical staff, and correctional personnel to ensure efficient patient flow and operational effectiveness. This role is based primarily in the CHS administrative office and supports correctional health operations across jail facilities. The position is responsible for administrative support, data management, reporting, training coordination, scheduling, and serving as a liaison between departments to support both patient care and operational goals.
Job Description
- Assists in planning service and program operations through consultation with management, clinical staff, and associated healthcare services to coordinate patient and operational objectives.
- Supports training class scheduling, classroom setup, and training program coordination to maintain staff proficiency and support onboarding of new equipment, methods, and procedures.
- Acts as an intermediary between CHS Management, Central Operations, and Correctional staff to support Jail Operations workflow and healthcare service coordination.
- Monitors patient flow and supports operational efficiency by identifying and reporting delays in coordination with correctional staff when applicable.
- Performs database information management, including data entry, retrieval, validation, and maintenance of records, lists, and statistical data.
- Reviews statistical reports for accuracy and initiates corrective actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Compiles and analyzes data; prepares charts, graphs, databases, summaries, and analytical reports.
- Creates surveys and data collection tools (survey creation) to support operational reporting and program improvement.
- Provides administrative support for healthcare service operations, including professional and non-professional staff coordination.
- Performs phone answering and general administrative duties to support daily office operations.
- Assists in scheduling meetings, appointments, and departmental coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manages supply ordering, stationery, equipment requests, and departmental logistics.
- Coordinates travel arrangements and related administrative logistics as required.
- Maintains and updates operational manuals, procedures, and documentation.
- Performs other administrative duties as assigned.
Skills Required
- 2 years relevant experience required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop reports and analysis.
- Ability to generate data reports from single and multiple systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of database information management systems.
- Experience in administrative duties including scheduling, coordination, and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and discretion.
- Knowledge of healthcare operations and correctional health program workflows.
Education/Training/Certifications
- Completed High School (Diploma or GED)
Additional Requirements
- Some one that is flexible in shifts is ideal as shifts might change
- Must provide two forms of identification, including at least one government-issued ID
- PREA and DOC are required
Pay Rate
- $37- $43 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
