Job Type: Contract (Travel or Local)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8 Hours (08:00 AM – 04:30 PM)
Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Oncology Infusion Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in oncology infusion therapy and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care, along with supporting clinical education initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer infusion therapies, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive treatments
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and manage side effects effectively
- Ensure safe handling and administration of oncology medications
- Assess patient conditions and provide appropriate nursing interventions
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effects, and follow-up care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities
Education & Training Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and delivering educational programs for nursing staff and students
- Identify learning needs and contribute to training materials and clinical instruction
- Support evidence-based practice and continuous clinical improvement
- Provide mentorship and guidance to nursing staff as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of Oncology Infusion experience
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program
- Active New York State RN License
- AHA BLS Certification
- Strong clinical knowledge of infusion therapy and oncology care
Preferred:
- Experience in outpatient infusion settings
- Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification
