Distribution supervisor

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Overnight Distribution Supervisor to join a leading healthcare client in New York. This person will be responsible for the day to day operations and distribution of Med Surg supplies for a hospital. They will monitor supply usage, charge supplies out to customers, and analyze cost per patient. Additional responsibilities will include receiving, tracking, loading, unloading, and electronically-logging stock like medical devices, implants, and other material to be used by clinicians and medical personnel. This person must be able to effectively communicate with employees, clinicians, warehouse associates, truck drivers, and security to ensure proper delivery of products, and they must also be able to handle undeliverable items. They will manage a small team of 2-3 Inventory Analysts. The ideal candidate has worked in a hospital environment and understands organizational/distributional best practices.

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of experience in a distribution/logistics role

Experience supervising a team

Basic Excel knowledge

Healthcare experience highly preferred

Bachelor's degree Union experience
