Regional HSE Compliance Manager, Food & Specialty Manufacturing
Lead multi-site HSE performance and sustainability
Drive Health & Safety, Environmental Compliance, and Sustainability outcomes across our Eastern region Food & Specialty plants. This role reports to the EHS Director and partners closely with plant leadership to elevate systems, metrics, and culture in line with Trivium’s values of Passion, Teamwork, and Excellence.
Primary responsibilities
- Multi-site engagement : Routine site visits for audits, status checks, incident investigations, and training.
- H&S program enablement : Training delivery, risk assessments, standard/procedure deployment (incl. ISO 45001 where relevant), internal audits, and cross-audits to support other operations.
- Standards & governance : Develop Trivium standards and support documents; organize meetings; monitor safety systems and activities.
- Leadership coaching : Challenge plant management to execute BU initiatives, achieve Trivium Safety Indicators, and address priority topics; elevate concerns to Plant Managers/Manufacturing Director when required.
- Investigations & KPIs : Review accident investigations for quality prior to approval and guide improvements; assure integrity of monthly H&S KPI reporting; inform plant PDR target-setting.
- Risk & insurance : Support Risk Management, Insurance, and Workers’ Compensation items as applicable.
- EHS&S programming : Develop, launch, maintain, and train on EHS&S programs; assist sites to create and train to EHS&S SOPs.
- Analytics : Analyze data to identify and prioritize continuous improvement across EHS&S KPIs.
- Sustainability : Own sustainability data management and strategic planning aligned to Trivium’s long-term targets.
- ISO leadership : Serve as Environmental Management Representative for ISO 14001.
- Regulatory compliance : Ensure compliance with RCRA, DOT, EPA, and state requirements.
- Reporting : Manage Tier II, Form R, biennial waste, Emission Inventory, and other environmental submissions.
- Plans & preparedness : Maintain SWPPP, SPCC, Hazardous Waste Contingency, and Emergency Response plans.
- Agency relations : Build collaborative relationships with safety and environmental regulators.
- Corporate audits : Participate periodically in Corporate System EHS audits at various sites.
- Food safety : Understand and support Food Safety Policy, GMPs, HACCP principles, and Food Safety Standards.

Qualifications
- 5+ years managing EHS&S programs.
- BS in a relevant technical field.
- Preferred: CSP, CIH, or CHMM.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001.
Role details
- Reports to the EHS Director; no direct reports.
- Regular travel of approximately 25–40% across the Eastern region.
- Responsibilities may be adjusted as business priorities evolve; additional duties may be assigned.
