Mechanical Assembler
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to build and assemble industrial packaging machinery from the ground up in a manufacturing facility environment. This role involves installing and assembling mechanical components including valves, cylinders, motors, pumps, and related systems using a variety of hand and power tools. The ideal candidate has a mechanical aptitude, can read assembly drawings and blueprints, and works well independently and as part of a production team.
salary: $50,000 - $52,000 per yearshift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
education: High School Responsibilities
- Assemble packaging machinery and equipment according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
- Install and align mechanical components including valves, pneumatic cylinders, motors, pumps, bearings, conveyors, and related hardware
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform mechanical assembly and equipment installation
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and assembly instructions
- Perform drilling, tapping, measuring, fitting, and alignment of machine components
- Assemble pneumatic and mechanical systems to specification
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure proper fit, function, and quality standards
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make adjustments as needed during assembly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing work environment
- Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and production teams to complete projects on schedule
- Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards
