Job Summary
The Mover & Grounds Specialist performs moves, supports campus events. Performs snow removal, grounds and landscape tasks, and equipment operations connected with the maintenance of the campus.


Minimum Qualifications
Required:

»High School diploma or equivalent

»One year of practice in moving and equipment operation

»Valid US driver license


Minimum expertise, expertise, and Abilities
• capability to read, write and perform simple arithmetic
• capability to use a computer and Microsoft Office and job specific software
• capability work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service expertise
• capability to communicate effectively
• Must have the capability to work flexible hours which may include, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
• capability to operate liftgates and platforms
• capability to independently operate snow removal equipment
• capability to follow instructions and operate hand and power equipment
• capability to work with a diverse population


Shift
Business Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally required


TravelLocal travel between campus locations only


Driving
Driving a Rensselaer vehicle for non-passenger use
