As a Domestic Violence Shelter Advocate for Catholic Charities of Fulton and Montgomery Counties, you will play a vital role in the lives of survivors and their families, providing safety, support, and empowerment through:

• Receive calls during office hours for shelter screenings and client questions.
• Complete intake and discharge process for all clients.
• Assess needed supports and services.
• Identify available resources.
• Provide referrals and linkages to other community agencies as appropriate.
• Support clients in implementing their plans.
• Develop safety plans for clients.
• Work with other advocates to provide empowerment for clients applying for other services to live violence and abuse free.

Domestic Violence Shelter Advocate Minimum Pay: $20.00

Domestic Violence Shelter Advocate Maximum Pay: $20.00

Domestic Violence Shelter Advocate Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30AM to 4PM

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Human Services or related field
• 1-3 years of experience in mental health, substance use, or human services
