The Role
As a Senior Product Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative and fast-paced software solutions. In this role, you will own end-to-end product features, working alongside a cross-disciplinary product team composed of Product, Data, Design and Engineering. You’ll also work with the team to drive solutions that address product and business objectives to make renting a better experience for everyone.
In this Senior position, you will be responsible for delivering product features to market. You’ll be tasked with partnering with cross-functional partners, while mentoring and coaching early career Engineers in order to up-level skillsets and foster a strong, collaborative team dynamic.
\n Where you’ll make an impact:- Lead the design, development, and deployment of end-to-end web applications and services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Data Science, Compliance, and Security teams to define, scope, plan and release projects
- Build for scale, availability, performance, and security for our customer-facing applications
- Architect and own new features in our ecosystem, collaborating with other Engineers to integrate frontend and backend systems
- Drive the architecture decisions for both frontend and backend systems, with a strong emphasis on secure coding practices
- Contribute to Engineering organization and culture through thought leadership and mentorship
- Provide robust technical documentation, code reviews and promote best practices
- Proactively improve site performance metrics and telemetry
- Contribute feedback to enhance team performance by performing code reviews and participating in pairing sessions
- Effectively manage and prioritize functionality and features, educating team members on the tradeoffs to approaches and providing creative solutions to improve our overall application experience
- Write great code that provides the standard for other Engineers while ensuring reusability and maintainability are at the core
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, bootcamp or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of fullstack development experience, with strong proficiency in both frontend and backend technologies
- Deep understanding of technologies such as Node.js , Python , Java , or Ruby, React and Typescript
- Proven experience with Relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB)
- Strong knowledge of API design (RESTful, GraphQL, SOAP) and service-oriented architecture
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), including containers and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines , automated testing, and test driven development practices
- In-depth knowledge of security best practices , encryption standards, and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions
- Proven leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive Engineering best practices
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities with a knack for tackling complex technical issues.
- Experience in financial technology (fintech), including payments, fraud detection, risk management, and secure transaction processing
- Experience in property technology (PropTech) with a strong understanding of real estate, property management, and rental platforms
- Strong background in identity verification , including the use of KYC (Know Your Customer) standards, biometrics, and AI-based identity verification technologies
- Hands-on experience with document verification and fraud detection tools and technologies
- Previous experience in a regulated industry such as finance or real estate
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (AML, KYC, etc.) and working with regulatory bodies

$178,000 - $210,000 a year
