Radiology Job Details

• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 (New York radiology jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (October 6, 2025 – January 3, 2026)
• Shift: 5x8 hour shifts per week (Days/Evenings; on-call, callbacks, holidays as needed)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-Call Requirement: Must be able to report within 30 minutes for on-call shifts
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2320 - $2380

Radiologic Technologist Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
• Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of recent X-ray Technologist experience
• Recent experience (within the past 8 months) with c-arm/o-arm equipment
• BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
• Level 1 trauma center experience preferred
• Ability to lift/move patients and stand for extended periods
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Compassionate, patient-focused, and team-oriented
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and review physician orders prior to x-ray procedures
• Operate radiologic equipment to obtain diagnostic images of bones, tissues, and organs
• Explain radiology procedures to patients and address their questions
• Position and assist patients, including those with limited mobility
• Ensure safe operation of all radiologic equipment and minimize patient radiation exposure
• Monitor and interpret patient status to address age-specific needs
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation
• Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment promptly to management
• Utilize electronic patient information systems and follow dual patient identifier protocols
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely image transfer to the PACS system
