About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable, sharp, and organized Dispatcher to join our fast-moving operations team supporting Lardon Disposal Services (LDS) , Vargo Trucking , and Southtowns Supply (STS) . You’ll be at the hub of our daily activity — coordinating truck routes, managing customer schedules, and communicating with drivers across our fleets. Key Responsibilities

• Dispatch Management : Schedule and dispatch multiple trucks daily ( across LDS, STS, and Vargo routes )— including dumpster deliveries, material drop-offs, and freight pickups.

• Customer Communication : Take incoming calls, provide updates, confirm deliveries, and relay accurate ETAs to clients.

• Driver Coordination : Keep constant communication with drivers via phone or app, re-routing as needed to address issues or delays.

• Order Tracking : Input and update customer orders and delivery information accurately in dispatch software or spreadsheets.

• Problem Solving : Quickly resolve conflicts such as late deliveries, truck delays, and last-minute changes with a cool head and clear communication.

• Route Optimization : Help plan the most efficient routes based on daily order volume, truck capacity, and geography.

• Reporting : Maintain accurate logs of routes, deliveries, truck activity, and incidents for internal reporting and end-of-day reviews.
  
  

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• 1+ year of experience in dispatch, logistics, or operations support preferred.

• Excellent phone communication and customer service skills.

• Strong multitasking and time management — must handle a fast pace without dropping details.

• Basic computer knowledge (Google Sheets, email, GPS tracking apps); willingness to learn our tools.

• Familiarity with Buffalo/WNY geography is a strong plus.

• Ability to work independently but communicate as part of a team.

• Calm, clear, and quick thinking under pressure — this is not a quiet desk job.
  
  

Bonus If You…

• Have experience with dump trucks, heavy equipment logistics, or contractor scheduling.

• Are bilingual (Spanish/English preferred).

• Have used dispatch platforms (like Jobber, Routific, Samsara, etc. with willingness to learn new programs.)
