Associate Director - Healthcare Market Research
AplusA is an independent global market research company with deep roots in France, where it was born 30+ years ago and over 150 employees worldwide. We operate from four locations, Lyon, Paris, London, and New York City, delivering high-impact insights that help healthcare and life sciences organizations to make better decisions. AplusA’ s mission is to combine real-world observations with custom global research alongside advanced analytics for our clients to confidently shape their brand strategy.
About our US location:
The U.S. team is small but growing, with a mission to serve both domestic and global clients. We specialize in ad-hoc, custom but also multi-client research projects, leveraging hybrid qualitative and quantitative methods, with a strong emphasis on generating actionable insights that drive brand strategy optimization.
We benefit from a startup spirit thanks to our small size, offering flexibility in the role's scope and responsibilities, while also drawing strength from our well-established operations in France, including fieldwork, analytics, and data processing. This combination provides a unique blend of agility and stability.
While we all work remotely, the team gathers once a month, typically in NYC, for an in-person working session and team lunch. New team members spend a week in France for training and onboarding, while those involved in commercial activities typically travel there twice a year.
As an Associate Director, you will lead custom market research projects reporting to the US Team Lead and under the guidance of the Head of U.S. Commercial Strategy, and in collaboration with a Junior or Senior Research Executive. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from kick-off to final presentation, ensuring the successful execution and delivery of high-quality insights to clients. In this role, you will be recognized by clients as a trusted research expert. As part of the natural progression toward Research Director, you will contribute to proposal development and take an active role in innovating new products and methodologies. This will not only help deliver greater value to our clients but also support the team’s commercial growth.
Your Skills:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in market research, including at least 4 years in healthcare
- Experience in both qualitative and quantitative research
- Proven track record in client management, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring and coaching junior team members
- Strong ability to independently lead end-to-end research projects with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively in a global, cross-cultural environment
- Comfortable and effective working in a fully remote setting
Your Profile:
- Startup mindset: proactive, hands-on, adaptable, and energized by building and shaping company culture and ways of working
- Detail-oriented and deep thinker with a passion for uncovering meaningful insights through research
- Driven to grow, both professionally and personally, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Not just for projects, but for contributing to the company's and the US team’s success
- Like to build trusting relationships with clients and colleagues, across levels and cultures
- Creative and flexible, able to navigate and develop innovative approaches
- A genuine passion for market research and its role in shaping strategy and decision-making
Note:
You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
