Job Title: Senior Accountant
Client: Well-Known Facilities Management organization
Salary: $100,000/year (negotiable)
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (3 days/week on site after training)
Location: Long Island City
Key Responsibilities
Prepare comprehensive financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual) and manage the general ledger. Oversee fixed asset accounting and ensure all reconciliations meet the monthly close schedule.
Perform variance analysis (P&L and Balance Sheet) and provide management insights. Support external audits and assist with tax reporting compliance.
Maintain and optimize NetSuite and related accounting integrations. Identify and implement workflows to streamline financial reporting.
Mentor junior staff and partner with cross-functional departments to improve inter-departmental processes.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
Experience: 3 years in private industry or a Big Four firm. Experience in audit/assurance is a plus; CPA preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in NetSuite (required), Microsoft Systems, and banking portals. Strong understanding of ASC 606 and ASC 842.
Soft Skills: High level of discretion for confidential data, project management experience, and the ability to liaise with executive management.
