Phlebotomist Job Details

• Location: Rochester, NY 14626 (New York healthcare job)
• Assignment Type: Travel Phlebotomist
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Inpatient, Outpatient, Laboratory
• Shift: Day shift, 2x12-hour shifts per week (09:00 – 23:00)
• Total Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $540 - $560
• Start Date: August 18, 2025
• Assignment Duration: 2 weeks (potential extension for travel healthcare professionals)

Phlebotomist Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent phlebotomy experience in a hospital or clinical healthcare setting
• Active New York State Phlebotomy license (required at time of application)
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system
• Ability to float between hospital units as needed
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the Rochester, NY facility
• Completion of all facility-required onboarding modules prior to start (up to 5 hours of onboarding modules)

Phlebotomist Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection for patients of all ages
• Label, process, and transport specimens in accordance with hospital and laboratory protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation using the EPIC EHR system
• Deliver compassionate, professional care to patients in inpatient, outpatient, and lab settings
• Float to various hospital units as required to support clinical staffing needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care
