Project Employee - Marketing Analytics Manager - WNBA
WORK OPTION: The NBA currently provides eligible employees the option of working remotely one day per week.
This is a temporary position with an expected duration not to exceed (10) months.
Position Summary
This position is part of the Fan Acquisition and Engagement team at the WNBA, dedicated to growing the WNBA’s fan base and driving engagement of new and current fans. This position’s goal will be to drive growth through data-driven decision-making by analyzing marketing campaign performance and fan behavior. Success in this role requires the ability to bridge the gap between user base/campaign performance data and actionable insights, as well as the ability to influence and collaborate with channel owners to implement any recommendations. Ideal candidates will be highly tactical self-starters with a background in marketing analytics and a passion for sports.
Major Responsibilities:
• Track and report on how marketing campaigns drive fan interest, acquisition, engagement, and retention across the WNBA’s digital and non-digital platforms via manual pulls and automated dashboards
• Focus heavily on marketing attribution across WNBA’s direct-to-consumer products (WNBA App, League Pass), as well as CRM database and performance (Push Notifications, In-App Messages, In-Browser Messages, Email)
• Build tracking links for digital destinations to track conversions across various channels
• Provide real-time insights and strategic recommendations to marketing channel owners, such as spend allocation and audience targeting
• Assist with A/B test design that yields improvements to our fan strategies and lifts conversion rates
• Assist in the development of marketing goals based on historical and anticipated trends, including projected channel contribution
• Partner closely with Marketing Technology lead to enhance access to data and insights across marketing programs
• Assist in the upkeep and optimization of the WNBA’s Marketing Mix Model (MMM) - including data collection, data QA, model evaluation, and output insights
Required Skills/Knowledge:
• 4-5+ years' experience working in a marketing/customer analytics role; Paid media experience a plus
• Broad understanding of digital marketing analytics and the role of digital analytics and marketing platforms in evaluating the performance of Web, Mobile App, and CTV campaigns; Experience with Amplitude, Appsflyer, and/or Braze is a plus
• Must be proficient in SQL, understand how to design and evaluate data models, and can closely partner with data engineers and architects to generate data sets needed to power analysis
• Advanced proficiency in developing reports using data visualization tools (most notably Tableau or PowerBI)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convert complex findings and large data sets into insightful, concise, and easily digestible reports and presentations
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at once with a precise and highly detail-oriented approach
• Comfortable building out and documenting complex processes
Salary Range:$3,846.15 - $ 4,230.77/Bi-weekly
