Account Coordinator (Performance Marketing)
Fluent is seeking an Account Coordinator to join our account management team. This is a hands-on role built for someone ready to learn the business from the ground up — supporting advertisers, coordinating campaign launches, and developing the foundational skills that drive client success at Fluent. If you're detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to build a career in digital media, this is the role where you'll thrive.
What You'll Do
- Develop a foundational understanding of Fluent's inventory offerings, reporting tools, competitive advantages, and internal processes
- Support the account management team in maintaining strong relationships with advertisers and ensuring client satisfaction
- Assist in monitoring client budgets, campaign pacing, and performance metrics, flagging any issues to the Account Manager or Account Director
- Support all client communication touchpoints — including onboarding assistance, pacing reports, performance summaries, and creative change requests — under the guidance of senior account team members
- Help prepare materials for client-facing business reviews, presentations, and campaign recommendations
- Learn to understand client KPIs and communicate them accurately to internal teams for optimization
- Coordinate the campaign onboarding process — liaising with sales, the media/creative team, and the Ops team to ensure smooth campaign builds and tracking setup
- Provide ongoing internal feedback through analysis and optimization notes based on campaign performance data
- Assist in identifying new revenue opportunities and flag them to the Account Manager
- Support monthly billable reporting collaboration with internal resources, ultimately to finance for invoicing accuracy
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in digital marketing, advertising, or a client-facing support role (internship experience considered)
- Familiarity with digital performance marketing concepts is a plus
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail — able to juggle multiple campaigns and tasks simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with numbers and basic data analysis
- Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, basic data manipulation), and adopting learnings of AI
- Familiarity with industry tracking or ad platforms is a plus
- Self-motivated with a proactive, team-player attitude
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced digital media environment
