Repserve is a leading provider of innovative sales and marketing solutions, specializing in helping businesses expand their reach and maximize their growth potential. Our client is a global security technology provider headquartered in Europe with operations in the Middle East and North America. The company develops, manufactures, and distributes advanced under-vehicle inspection systems, radiation detection solutions, and automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) products for high-security applications in military, governmental, critical infrastructure, and commercial environments.

The Technical Sales Engineer will drive revenue growth by combining deep technical knowledge of under-vehicle inspection and related security technologies with consultative sales skills. This role requires serving as a technical authority during the sales cycle, supporting pre- and post-sales activities, and collaborating with engineering, product management, and channel partners to deliver tailored security solutions that meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within assigned territories or market segments.
  • Present and articulate the technical and commercial value of the company's inspection and detection systems to prospective clients (e.g., security integrators, government agencies, law enforcement, critical infrastructure operators).
  • Support direct and indirect sales channels through technical expertise, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and solution proposals.
  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, and pricing justifications in coordination with sales leadership.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for customers during the entire sales cycle, including discovery, evaluation, and post-order follow-up.
  • Conduct on-site and virtual product demonstrations and training sessions.
  • Translate customer technical requirements into actionable solution designs, ensuring alignment with product capabilities and integration standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams on custom adaptations, application needs, and escalations for complex deployments
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to strategic accounts, anticipating evolving security needs and recommending appropriate technology roadmaps.
  • Track customer interactions, feedback, and competitive insights in CRM and relay to internal teams.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor products, and regulatory changes affecting security technology procurement.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to increase visibility and generate leads.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, opportunity pipelines, and activity reports for management review.
  • Contribute to development of technical collateral, case studies, and training materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, or equivalent), Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in technical sales engineering, field sales engineering, or solutions engineering—ideally in security systems, industrial scanning technologies, or complex hardware/software solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically for customer engagements, trade shows, and strategic meetings.

About Repserve

At Repserve, we lease sales professionals to overseas companies on a shared-time basis, allowing firms to enter new markets or grow in existing ones. Our Reps have a maximum of 3 complimentary (never competing) clients. They answer all calls and emails at all times but manage their physical client time to suit the time allocation selected by the client.

This role is for an allocation of 100% of your time.

Your day-to-day expenses will be covered (i.e., petrol, parking, tolls, mobile call charges, etc.). Larger expenses such as international travel, hotels, and large group entertainment should be approved by your client prior to incurring. Your client will be encouraged to pay a sales commission based on performance. If they choose to do this, the structure of their commission scheme shall be discussed and agreed between you and your client.
