Imam / Muslim Chaplain (Part-Time / Per Diem) – Creedmoor Psychiatric Center (Queens, NY)
Schedule: 12 hours per week (flexible days). On-site in Queens, NY.

About the Role

ND Global Consulting Services, Inc. (NDGCS) is seeking a qualified Imam / Muslim Chaplain to provide Muslim spiritual care and counseling to patients, patient families, and staff at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center . This role supports individuals in a behavioral health/psychiatric setting, so professionalism, compassion, and comfort working with mental health populations are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Muslim care services including (but not limited to):

Spiritual counseling and support related to religious concerns

• Participation and coordination with treatment teams as needed
• Conduct weekday worship services
• Provide religious rites/services as needed
• Lead/assist prayer and worship on special religious holidays and Muslim holy days
• Provide educational sessions (mutually agreed topics) and support Muslim holiday observances
• Submit brief written updates/reports as requested and attend periodic check-ins with the Pastoral Department
• Required Qualifications (Mandatory)
• Credentialed clergy / lay clergy (recognized/authorized credentials) – documentation required
• One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or equivalent
• Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing mental illness in a psychiatric setting
• Strong communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
• Reliable, consistent availability for scheduled on-site hours

Screening / Compliance Requirements

• Must pass required background check / facility clearance prior to start.
• Must complete facility onboarding/orientation and required training.
