Position Overview

A specialty-focused orthopedic hospital in a major metropolitan area is seeking an experienced and patient-centered MRI Technologist for a short-term travel assignment. This role supports high-quality imaging services in a fast-paced orthopedic environment using advanced MRI technology.

The MRI Technologist will perform both inpatient and outpatient scans, collaborate closely with radiologists and clinical teams, and ensure patient safety, comfort, and image quality. Occasional extended hours may be required to accommodate inpatient imaging needs.

Workload & Unit Information

• Average Daily Census: 7 patients

• MRI Rooms: 1

• Staffing Ratio (Days): 1:2

• Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

• Rotating Shifts: None

Systems & Support

• Documentation System: EPIC

• Medication / Supply System: Omnicell

• Interdisciplinary Support: Radiology, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Rapid Response Teams, Social Services, Transportation, Interpretation Services

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Active State Radiologic Technologist License

• ARRT (MR)

• BLS

• IV Certification (must be in hand prior to start; venipuncture certification alone is not sufficient)

• Preparation and administration of contrast media
