Pay Rate: $98/hr – $115/hr (Local & Travel Pay Included)

Duration: 14 Weeks

Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 37.5 Hours Weekly

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Associate DON – General Pediatrics / PICU / NICU for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and implement programs to improve patient care quality and employee performance
• Supervise and support nursing staff across General Pediatrics, PICU, and NICU units
• Collaborate with Nurse Managers to monitor unit operations and clinical performance
• Assist with corrective action planning and performance improvement initiatives
• Support staffing coordination and operational workflow management
• Monitor patient care standards and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
• Promote patient safety and continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Work closely with physicians, nursing leadership, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation related to patient care, compliance, and performance initiatives
• Ensure compliance with NYS nursing regulations and hospital standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
• Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred
• Minimum 7 years of nursing experience required
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience required
• Active RN License required
• Primary Source Verification through NYSED required
• BLS Certification required
• Prior Pediatric, PICU, or NICU leadership experience preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and operational management skills required
