Salary: GUSS Hourly Rate

Report Times: 7:00am - 3:30pm

Daily Hours: 8.5 (8 Paid)

Work Year: 7/6/26-8/21/26

Supervisor: Director of School Safety and Security

Minimum Requirements:

Internal Candidates Only

Current status as a Security Worker;

Must hold current registration as Security Guard with New York State Department of State.

Desired Qualifications:

Must be available to work the entire summer session;

CPR/AED certification or willingness to be certified;

Ability to work with groups of students, staff and public;

Willingness to work additional hours as needed;

Daily attendance is expected.

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

Provide security and supervisor oversite at the Athena campus for various summer programs;

Liaison between BOCES Regional Summer School and District Office;

Support the Security Department by covering staff shortages and patrol car duties as needed;

Ensure the safety of students and staff;

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
