Mid or Senior Interaction Designer, New York Hybrid

We’re partnering with an innovative product-led company looking for an Interaction Designer to create intuitive, engaging and user-centred digital experiences.

This role offers the opportunity to shape how people interact with products across web, mobile and emerging digital platforms. Working alongside product managers, researchers, engineers and fellow designers, you’ll help transform complex challenges into seamless experiences that deliver real value to users.

About The Opportunity

As an Interaction Designer, you’ll play a key role in defining user journeys, interaction patterns and product experiences across a range of digital products.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the design process, from discovery and concept development through to prototyping, testing and implementation.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing intuitive user flows, interactions and digital experiences
• Translating user needs, research findings and business goals into effective design solutions
• Creating wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity interface designs
• Collaborating closely with product managers, engineers and researchers
• Contributing to product strategy and experience development
• Conducting usability testing and validating design decisions through user feedback
• Developing scalable interaction patterns and design system components
• Refining user journeys to improve usability, accessibility and engagement
• Presenting concepts and design rationale to stakeholders
• Advocating for user-centred design principles throughout the product lifecycle

Key Skills

• Experience in Interaction Design, UX Design, Product Design or related disciplines
• Strong portfolio showcasing user-centred design projects
• Experience designing digital products across web and mobile platforms
• Experience working within collaborative product or technology teams
• Proficiency in Figma and modern design tools
• Strong understanding of interaction design principles and UX best practices
• Experience creating wireframes, prototypes and user flows
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design
• Ability to communicate design decisions clearly and effectively
• Understanding of design systems and scalable product design frameworks

Bonus Skills

• Experience conducting user research and usability testing
• Knowledge of motion design and micro-interactions
• Familiarity with front-end technologies and design implementation processes
• Experience within SaaS, fintech, consumer or technology products
