OmniSeq by Labcorp is seeking a licensed Medical Laboratory Scientist (CLS/MLS/MLT/CLT) to join our Biopharma services team in Buffalo, NY .

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1st shift (may later be 4 x10's)

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Support testing as part of clinical trial assays and contract research agreements.
• Process blood and tissue samples provided to the laboratory as needed for various projects.
• Perform macrodissection on FFPE.
• Record and analyze data to ensure QA/QC at each workflow step; ensures completeness and accuracy of data
• Extract and quantify RNA and DNA using manual and automated processes.
• Prepare extracted RNA and DNA to be tested with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS).
• Perform NGS testing using manual and automated processes.
• Interact with other departments, collaborators, and clients in a professional manner.
• Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, safe, well stocked work environment in accordance with molecular standards and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Utilize Laboratory Information Management Systems for tracking and documenting patient samples and processes.
• Other duties as needed. 

REQUIRED LICENSURE, EDUCATION

• Associates or higher in Medical Laboratory Technology or related discipline required
• Valid NYS professional license prior to starting

Pay Range: $32.00 - $39.00

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
