Job Title: Telemetry Technician / Monitor Tech – Pediatric

Location: New York, NY 10029

Job Type: Contract

Compensation:

• Travel Rate: $51/hour
• Local Rate: $42/hour

Schedule:

• Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Work Type: 100% Onsite

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Telemetry Technician / Monitor Tech to provide continuous cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation for pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in ECG analysis and the ability to quickly identify and respond to critical cardiac events in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform continuous ECG monitoring and accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
• Analyze ECG strips and assess patient status in real time
• Identify and respond to life-threatening rhythm changes
• Initiate emergency response protocols and document rhythms during code events
• Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) with proper electrode placement
• Troubleshoot telemetry equipment and resolve monitoring issues
• Respond promptly to monitor alarms
• Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and healthcare team members
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Requirements:

• Pediatric telemetry experience required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a high-pressure environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Certifications & Licensure:

• BLS (AHA or Red Cross) – valid within one year
• Telemetry Technician Certification required
• Dysrhythmia Course required
