Oberon is seeking hospitality-driven hosts to join our opening team inside the New Museum’s expanded cultural campus. This role is ideal for someone who understands that hosting is more than greeting guests — it is orchestration, awareness, intuition, and shaping the energy of a room. What We’re Looking For
We are building a team that understands hospitality as both operational and deeply human. The right candidate is observant, adaptable, emotionally intelligent, and genuinely enjoys creating memorable experiences for others. You are warm, composed under pressure, detail-oriented, and excited by restaurants, nightlife, art, culture, and guest experience. Responsibilities
• Welcome and guide guests through the arrival experience
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and walk-in flow using SevenRooms and Resy
• Maintain clear communication with floor managers, servers, bartenders, and kitchen teams
• Help pace the room while balancing reservations and walk-in demand
• Anticipate guest needs and provide thoughtful, polished hospitality
• Handle guest inquiries via phone, email, and in-person communication
• Assist with VIP recognition and special accommodations
• Maintain a calm and professional presence during high-volume service Qualifications
• Previous host, reservations, or guest relations experience required
• Experience with SevenRooms and/or Resy
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in hospitality, culture, restaurants, nightlife, and guest experience
• Evening and weekend availability required
• Professional, warm, and team-oriented demeanor
