Strategist

The Role

Big Human is seeking a creative thinker with diverse experience, ranging from digital product to brand strategy. They will report to the Director of Product & Strategy. They should have 4-6 years of professional experience, and their main responsibility is to work collaboratively with product managers, designers, and engineers to exceed project expectations. Generally, they will be focused on conducting research and generating strategic insights that will be foundational to creating new products and brands. They will also assist with select new business opportunities, helping to craft proposals and meet with potential clients.

In this role, you will:

Research & Analysis

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research (interviews, surveys, and focus groups) and generate detailed insight reports

• Create reports covering landscape and competitive analysis

• Ingest analytics and other client-provided reports, identifying key insights

• Source and summarize 3rd party research (white papers, studies) to drive strategic direction

Strategic Materials

• Participate in product definition and discovery: identifying the audience, key features, and roll-out plan

• Manage client working sessions to gather insights on their industry, product, brand, goals, and other relevant information

• Lead brand strategy engagements to identify the foundational brand principles

• Collaborate with designers to generate comprehensive brand guides, including personality, positioning and messaging copy

• Generate materials to support and articulate design and engineering decisions

• Assist with new business, including inbound/outreach opportunities

Your skills should include:

• Self-motivated with a strong bias toward action

• Quick thinking and comfortable with impromptu presentations

• Exceptional writing skills, both short-form presentations, as well as long-form articles and reports

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Ability to digest and simply describe complex project requirements to a variety of groups (engineering, design, product management)

• Extensive experience with Google Suite (drive, slides, docs, sheets), figma/figjam
