Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Blink Health
New York, NY

Company Overview:

Blink Health is the fastest growing healthcare technology company that builds products to make prescriptions accessible and affordable to everybody. Our two primary products – BlinkRx and Quick Save – remove traditional roadblocks within the current prescription supply chain, resulting in better access to critical medications and improved health outcomes for patients.

BlinkRx is the world’s first pharma-to-patient cloud that offers a digital concierge service for patients who are prescribed branded medications. Patients benefit from transparent low prices, free home delivery, and world-class support on this first-of-its-kind centralized platform. With BlinkRx, never again will a patient show up at the pharmacy only to discover that they can’t afford their medication, their doctor needs to fill out a form for them, or the pharmacy doesn’t have the medication in stock.

We are a highly collaborative team of builders and operators who invent new ways of working in an industry that historically has resisted innovation. Join us!

About the team:

Blink Engineering strives to build trusted, highly observable, data-driven products to bring affordable, accessible healthcare to all Americans. We understand healthcare is the most complex system most of us will ever fix. We believe in solving this complexity through the use of simple, well-known technologies. We are a highly collaborative team that believes in owning outcomes over owning code and putting patients at the center of everything we do.

About the role:

The QA team plays an important role in our company’s product development process. We are looking for a QA Engineer to determine software quality through manual and automated testing for both mobile and web applications, including cross-platform testing (browser, OS). The QA team is responsible for building infrastructure, frameworks and tooling to enable automated testing; developing test scenarios and test cases; measuring and improving our software quality.

In this role you will be responsible for defining test approaches and test plans for assigned functional test areas. You will own complete functional areas and will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs. You will work closely with the engineers, designers and product managers to ensure quality development. You will participate in automation activities to enhance product quality and improve engineering productivity.

About You:

We all help each other on the team. Where you have previously worked or gone to school isn’t important to us.

The following, however, is:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in QA, software testing, or quality engineering.

  • You are familiar with AI-powered tools and workflows that improve engineering and QA productivity, such as test generation, defect analysis, code assistance, and documentation support.

  • You are proficient in using AI tools responsibly and effectively to accelerate software development, improve test coverage, and enhance quality processes while applying sound engineering judgment.

  • You are passionate about product quality and bring strong attention to detail.

  • You have experience writing test cases, test plans, and executing tests for web and mobile applications.

  • You have knowledge of general software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

  • You can write efficient, maintainable code in at least one programming or scripting language; knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript is a plus.

  • You have a solid understanding of software development fundamentals, including APIs, system integrations, debugging, version control, and CI/CD workflows.

  • You have experience working with testing frameworks and tools such as Git, Jenkins, Cypress, Playwright, JIRA, Docker, AWS, TestNG, and Agile development practices.

  • You have hands-on experience automating functional and integration testing for Web, iOS, and Android applications.

  • You have working knowledge of databases and SQL.

  • You have working knowledge of QA automation architecture, implementation methodologies, and tools.

  • You are comfortable partnering with engineers on root cause analysis, testability improvements, and release readiness.

  • You have experience validating APIs, backend services, and end-to-end workflows across distributed systems.

  • You are able to contribute to automation frameworks, shared test utilities, and developer-facing quality tooling.

If you join Blink, you will:

  • Review and analyze product specifications.

  • Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve test design, accelerate defect triage, streamline repetitive QA tasks, and increase team efficiency.

  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.

  • Execute test cases (manual and automated) and analyze results across Web, Mobile, API, and backend systems.

  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs through resolution.

  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development process.

  • Actively participate in automation work for framework enhancements, test additions, and tooling improvements.

  • Work closely with product and development teams on feature launches.

  • Design, build, and maintain automated test coverage for critical user journeys, platform services, and integration points.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable test frameworks, reusable test components, and CI/CD quality gates.

  • Partner with software engineers to improve application testability, observability, and defect prevention earlier in the development lifecycle.

  • Validate functionality across frontend, backend, and third-party integrations to ensure reliable end-to-end experiences.

  • Support release quality by participating in risk assessments, test strategy discussions, and production readiness reviews.

Why Join Us:

It is rare to have a company that both deeply impacts its customers and is able to provide its services across a massive population. At Blink, we have a huge impact on people when they are most vulnerable: at the intersection of their healthcare and finances. We are also the fastest growing healthcare company in the country and are driving that impact across millions of new patients every year. Our business model not only helps people, but drives economics that allow us to build a generational company. We are a relentlessly learning, constantly curious, and aggressively collaborative cross-functional team dedicated to inventing new ways to improve the lives of our customers.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity of all kinds. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

Applicants who provide their phone number and consent to receive text messages may receive SMS or MMS updates from Blink Health regarding their application.
