POSITION PURPOSE:
The Shipping/ Receiving Clerk I responsibilities include coordinating all aspects of packaging, shipping and receiving goods. This position requires strong organization and communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will be self-directed, highly motivated, with excellent customer service skills and a positive "can do" attitude!
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates all aspects of receiving. This will include the distribution of supplies, spare parts, and business correspondences, stocking of supplies in proper storage location, documenting receipt of supplies and spare parts on packing slips, and providing slips to Procurement.
- Packaging of kits for instruments, service, and spare parts.
- Coordinates all aspects of shipping. This will include, arranging daily and special out bound shipments, packaging of all products, creating required shipping labels, and seeing that all prepackaged/labeled packages produced by the Administrative Team are shipped in accordance with required method of transport.
- Assists with the management of inventory system and procurement department as needed.
- Maintains an organized and clean dock as space allows.
MEASURES OF EFFECTIVENESS:
- Works with Advion teams and external vendors to assure all shipping needs are met.
- Provides first class customer service to all Advion teams.
- Improve systems through innovative and creative methodology.
- Insures DOT compliance with all in/outbound shipments.
REQUIREMENTS/CAREER LADDER:
- High school diploma or GED. Work experience in manufacturing or production helpful.
- Basic knowledge of shipping, receiving, and light manufacturing procedures.
- Strong organization and communication skills, both oral and written. Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills; positive "can do" attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting. Flexible, adaptable, dependable.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and meet deadlines. Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic computer experience; knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook helpful.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs or more; must adhere to all safety guidelines.
- Experience with JD Edwards ERP system would be helpful.
