Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult PCU patients, including those with acute coronary syndromes and post-procedure recoveries
- Monitor telemetry, manage multiple drips (including insulin and cardiac/other cardiac-related drips), and titrate therapies per protocol
- Initiate IV access, administer medications, and perform EKGs as part of routine care and rapid response to clinical changes
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and ancillary staff; participate in patient care rounding and care plan updates
- Float to appropriate units as part of the resource float team; support unit workflows, patient throughput, and safety initiatives

Requirements
- Active New York registered nurse license on file
- BLS and ACLS certifications; NIHSS assessment required prior to start
- Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience; 1 year of clinical experience in the PCU or related acute inpatient specialty
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Ability to work in an acute inpatient PCU environment and float to other units as needed
- Experience with insulin drips, cardiac drips, starting IVs, and post-cardiac catheterization care
