About This Opportunity

Daemen University's School of Business invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty position to teach an undergraduate-level Principles of Management course in our Bachelor of Business Administration program. We are seeking dynamic educators committed to student success and academic excellence to teach Tuesdays and Thursdays in person from 1:00 PM - 2:20 PM

This course is designed to introduce students to the major principles, theories and issues pertaining to the management of organizations, including organizational behavior and human resource management. It will provide a basic foundation for future studies in management. Major topic areas will include the role and scope of management, decision-making, planning, organizing, leading and controlling.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction following course objectives, curriculum guidelines, and accreditation principles
• Prepare and update course materials such as syllabi, assessments, and assignments
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback
• Maintain appropriate academic and professional standards
• Participate in occasional faculty meetings and training sessions
• Use Blackboard, the university's learning management system (LMS), for grading, communication, and content delivery
• $3500 per semester

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field
• College-level teaching experience (in-person)
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

• Doctorate (Ph.D., DBA) in Business or related discipline
• Experience teaching diverse student populations
