As a Specialist in the rapidly growing Everest Cyber department, you’ll be part of a dedicated, collaborative, and expanding team. This is a unique opportunity to handle claims with a growth mindset while benefiting from strong corporate support. You’ll gain experience in every aspect of the dynamic world of cyber coverage.
In this role, you will intake, investigate, determine coverage, manage, and resolve Cyber, Privacy, Media, and Tech E&O claims. You’ll handle complex first-party Cyber Claims, including Data Breaches, Business Interruption, Contingent Business Interruption, and Extortion claims. You’ll also manage third-party privacy liability, PCI, Regulatory, Media, and Tech E&O claims, resolving them effectively and efficiently.
You’ll collaborate with management and underwriters to identify exposures, trends, and risks. You’ll also assist with client and broker policy reviews and trend analysis.
Your responsibilities will include:
Intake and investigation of claims
Making coverage determinations and setting appropriate reserves
Managing and reviewing budgets, restoration plans, and Business Interruption Income Loss Proof of Losses
Reviewing invoices for compliance, updating files, and maintaining calendars
Participating in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency support
Explaining policy terms and guiding insureds
Maintaining regular updates with brokers and addressing their concerns
Participating in claim and client presentations
Supporting cyber underwriters with detailed claim updates
Identifying exposures, trends, and risks for underwriting and management
Working with counsel to guide and resolve litigation
Ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational mandates, including OFAC and sanctions obligations
Upholding Everest’s commitment to excellence, service, and fairness
Qualifications
You bring:
Broad insurance experience, including policy language, coverages, ethics, and claim practices
Legal experience in litigation, class action, regulatory, breach response, and coverage (preferred)
Cyber knowledge, including computer security, forensics, and network restoration (preferred)
Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
Persuasive and efficient writing
Legal and insurance claim resolution skills, including negotiation
Accounting and data analysis skills
Quick learning and problem-solving abilities
Independence and collaboration
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and adaptability to new tools
A JD and current license

If you’re located in CA, NY, NJ, or IL, your base salary range will be $116,000 - $176,000 annually. Your offer will be based on your education, experience, qualifications, and work location. You’ll also have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, 401(k) match, retirement savings, paid holidays, and PTO.
