General Overview

At Sip & Guzzle, we are looking for hospitality professionals to play a vital role in shaping the guest experience and contributing to our team culture. This role enters the service team through a server assistant/food runner or host position, with clear opportunities for growth based on performance. The role requires speed, awareness, and ownership of the kitchen-to-floor handoff, while actively contributing to the guest experience.

Qualifications 

• Passion to provide exceptional guest service and attention to detail
• Personable, charming, and well spoken
• Warm and welcoming to both guests and staff
• Ability to cater to guest’s needs in fine dining or casual dining format
• Able to work as a team player
• Ability to multitask; and work with a sense of urgency while maintaining professionalism and and high hospitality standard
• Must have good supervisory skills and able to delegate when appropriate
• Must have good communication skills and full understanding of menu to promote sales
• Must have strong food and beverage knowledge and well versed in Asian cuisine is a plus but not required
• Need to be familiar with POS operations
• Successfully adhere to Steps of Service
• Availability to work on evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the management team and fellow staff members to execute service standards
• Perform opening and closing duties as required by the schedule.
• Extensive knowledge of the food and beverage menus to provide guests with a high quality dining experience.
• Assist in the opening and closing responsibilities.
• Developing relationships with guests, providing personalized service, anticipating, and delivering guests’ needs efficiently.
• Adhere to all relevant liquor laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with licensing requirements.

 

Requirements

•  Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role in a restaurant setting.

Physical Demands
The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
