Overview

The Senior Vice President, Chief of Staff will serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor, acting as an operational extension of the CEO to drive execution and clarity across the leadership team.

This role sits at the center of the organization, enabling the CEO to operate with maximum effectiveness across strategy, growth, and leadership priorities. In addition to supporting the CEO, the Chief of Staff will play a critical role in translating strategy into action, driving cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring follow-through on key decisions.

This role is designed for a highly capable, proactive and results-oriented leader who can navigate complexity, manage ambiguity, and operate with discretion and confidence. The Chief of Staff will help represent the CEO in key forums, and ensure alignment across the Agency, Publicis Groupe, and broader holding company ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership & Advisory

  • Serve as a thought partner to the CEO on enterprise strategy, growth priorities, and organizational effectiveness

  • Support development and execution of annual and multi-year strategic plans and ensure clear translation into executable priorities across the organization

  • Provide structured analysis, recommendations, and decision frameworks

  • Ensure priorities are clearly defined, measurable, and actionable

  • Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and emerging priorities

Enterprise Navigation & Relationship Management

  • Act as a guide and connector across the Agency, Publicis Media and Groupe leadership, and operating brands

  • Build strong working relationships with key leaders to drive collaboration and trust

  • Help the CEO navigate governance structures and decision-making processes

  • Ensure alignment between Agency priorities and broader Groupe expectations

Executive Operations & Prioritization

  • Manage the CEO's strategic agenda, ensuring focus on highest-impact priorities and decisions

  • Oversee preparation for key meetings, client sessions/events, leadership forums, and other external appointments, ensuring clear objectives, inputs, and expected outcomes

  • Drive discipline in how leadership time is spent, ensuring strategic priorities are achieved

  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to ensure effective execution

Leadership Alignment & Effectiveness

  • Support the CEO in establishing and maintaining a high-performing operating cadence for the leadership team (agendas, decision frameworks, meeting effectiveness)

  • Ensure leadership discussions result in clear decisions, ownership, and next steps

  • Identify and address gaps in clarity, ownership, or follow-through

Execution & Accountability

  • Drive execution of the Agency's highest-priority initiatives, including strategic priorities, transformation efforts, and cross-functional programs

  • Track progress against key initiatives and ensure delivery against agreed timelines and outcomes

  • Follow up on decisions and commitments, ensuring timely delivery and escalation where needed

  • Maintain visibility into progress, risks, and blockers across key initiatives

Proxy & Representation

  • Represent the CEO in internal and external meetings when needed

  • Communicate on behalf of the CEO with clarity, credibility, and authority

  • Ensure continuity when the CEO is unavailable

Communications & Stakeholder Management

  • Draft and review executive communications, presentations, and leadership messaging

  • Ensure consistent, clear narratives across internal and external audiences

  • Partner with Communications and relevant stakeholders on major announcements and positioning

Travel & Availability

  • Travel with the CEO as needed to support major client, leadership, and enterprise engagements

  • Provide support outside standard business hours as required by the role and business needs

  • Maintain flexibility to respond to time-sensitive priorities

Special Projects & Change Leadership

  • Lead high-priority, high-complexity initiatives sponsored by the CEO

  • Drive transformation, integration, and growth-related projects

  • Establish governance, milestones, and reporting for major initiatives

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, executive leadership, or Chief of Staff-type roles

  • Demonstrated experience supporting C-suite executives in complex organizations

  • Strong understanding of agency, media, consulting, or professional services environments (preferred)

  • Experience navigating matrixed, global, or holding company structures

Compensation Range: $180,215 - $299,637 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
