Description:
- The Mammography Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality radiographs of the breasts in a healthcare setting.
- This contract position requires working onsite in Dobbs Ferry, NY, for three days a week, from Monday to Wednesday, 08:00 am to 04:00 pm.
- Candidates must have relevant certifications and experience in radiologic technology, with a focus on mammography procedures.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved school for Radiologic Technology.
- Licensed for New York State in Radiologic Technology.
- Advanced Registered in Mammography by a recognized registry.
- Maintain current MQSA requirements.
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in positioning patients and operating x-ray equipment.
- Ability to assist in procedures, including needle localization and biopsies.
- Skilled in developing films using automatic or daylight processing.
- Experience in administering contrast media using sterile techniques.
- Strong ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality mammograms.
- Position and transfer patients using proper safety techniques.
- Assist radiologists in various procedures.
- Maintain a daily work log and prepare patients for examinations.
- Develop films and select appropriate technical factors for exams.
