Field Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in construction projects to join our dynamic team in the Newark metro area. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure compliance with design and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct field inspections to monitor construction progress and adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve field issues and maintain smooth operations.
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure quality control of materials and workmanship.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports, including daily logs, progress updates, and inspection records.
- Utilize construction software to manage schedules, budgets, and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to all safety standards and promote a culture of safety on-site.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving engineering challenges during construction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in construction field engineering or a similar role.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project).
- Strong understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- OSHA 30 certification and familiarity with safety regulations preferred.
