Senior / Staff Software Engineer (Infrastructure)

• Location: New York, NY (On-site, 5 days/week) Compensation: $190,000 – $220,000 base + competitive equity (14% first-year upside + bonus potential) Hiring: 1 ASAP

  The Role Own self-hosted deployments for sensitive federal/defense customers. Start hands-on with diverse environments (cloud to air-gapped on-prem), customer guidance, and debugging; evolve to automation and broader infrastructure platform ownership.

• What You’ll Do

  • • Adapt, own, and maintain infrastructure for large customers across heterogeneous setups.

    • Harden security configurations and support compliant architectures (FedRAMP Moderate equivalent, CMMC, NIST SP 800-53, IL-5/6).

    • Contribute to the product codebase for deployability, observability, and reliability.

    • Act as forward-deployed engineer (potential on-site classified work).

    • Debug complex issues in novel environments; improve observability.

    • Participate in on-call rotation.

    • Build automation, playbooks, and tools for scalable multi-customer support.

    Requirements

    • 3+ years infrastructure software engineering.

    • Production Kubernetes ownership.

    • On-call debugging experience.

    • Startup background (Series B/C preferred); forward-deployed or gov-sector nice-to-have.

    • Proficiency in Pulumi / Terraform ; strong networking/OS/cybersecurity.

    • Regulated env experience (FedRAMP/CMMC/NIST).

    • Automation mindset; strong communication.

    • US Person per ITAR; TS/SCI major plus.
