Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool night shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Academic medical center setting with a Med/Surg Float Pool
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• 13-week contract
• Epic EMR is the charting system used at this facility

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• BLS and all certifications must be from AHA or RQI
• Experience at a 600+ bed academic hospital required if applying with less than 2 years of experience (competency testing required in that case)
• US Social Security Number required
• Active flu vaccination or a medical exemption signed by a licensed professional required (personal and religious exemptions are not accepted)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates residing in the following NY counties are not eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• Candidates with less than 2 years of experience must pass a Med/Surg competency test (2 attempts allowed)
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this position
• Navy blue scrubs are required
