Senior Accountant – Join a High-Impact Finance Team

Are you an experienced accounting professional ready for the next step in your career? A growing and innovative financial services organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to play a key role within its Accounting team. This position offers the chance to take ownership of essential financial functions, collaborate across departments, and support the development of team members — all while contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of day-to-day financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take the lead on month-end closing activities, ensuring financial reports are accurate and submitted on schedule.

  • Prepare and post complex journal entries and perform account reconciliations.

  • Manage consolidated financials for multiple entities, including intercompany eliminations and allocation processes.

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of sales tax, payroll tax, and other regulatory reports across various U.S. states.

  • Maintain and update the fixed asset ledger, overseeing capitalization and depreciation schedules.

  • Provide support during annual audits by preparing required documentation and working directly with external auditors.

  • Work cross-functionally to analyze financial trends and deliver meaningful insights that support business decisions.

  • Mentor junior team members, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional growth.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • This is an on-site position based in Brentwood, TN .

  • 3–5 years of experience in a senior accounting or similar role.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP, regulatory compliance, and corporate financial reporting.

  • Hands-on experience managing month-end close processes and account reconciliations.

  • Proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and reporting.

  • Familiarity with NetSuite or other mid-to-large-scale ERP/accounting platforms.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Demonstrated leadership potential and the ability to guide and support less-experienced colleagues.

  • Self-motivated and solution-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset.
