Registered Nurse,
This Registered Nurse position requires a minimum of two years of experience in a hospital setting, specializing in medical-surgical care with experience in complex long-term patients. The role involves providing direct patient care, utilizing advanced skills such as central line management, blood product administration, and managing various medical devices. Proficiency in electronic health records (Epic) and a strong understanding of medical-surgical nursing principles are essential. The position requires working every other weekend.

Responsibilities:
- Providing direct patient care to a patient ratio of 1:6, with the ability to float to 1:5 or 1:7 ratios.
- Managing complex medical cases, including patients with pacemakers, feeding tubes, and surgical drains.
- Administering medications, blood products, and managing central lines, PICC lines, and peripheral IVs.
- Performing wound care, including wound vac management.
- Utilizing various respiratory support methods (HFNC, nasal cannula, oxygen masks).
- Managing tracheostomies and adhering to isolation precautions.
- Utilizing telemetry monitoring and responding to rapid response/code situations.
- Charting patient information accurately and completely in Epic.
- Collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
- Performing phlebotomy.
- Ortho trauma and total joint replacement experience.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current New York Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum two years of hospital experience in medical-surgical nursing.
- BLS certification.
- Experience with a 1:6 patient ratio (ability to float to 1:5 or 1:7).
- Proficiency in Epic electronic health records.
- Experience with medical-surgical nursing, including managing complex patients, central line management, blood product administration, and various medical devices.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in telemetry monitoring.
- Experience with rapid response/code teams.
Special Considerations:
- Must be proficient in managing patients with pacemakers, feeding tubes, surgical drains, and various respiratory support methods.
- Experience with ortho trauma and total joint replacements.
- Every other weekend (EOW) work schedule.
- Must be able to work within a 75-mile radius.
